Hanabishi Promotes Learning-Conducive Homes

Filipinos place a high value on education. As an old saying goes, “Ang edukasyon ang tanging kayamanan na hindi maaaring nakawin ninoman.” Parents work the hardest just so they can send their children to the best school they can afford, no matter the sacrifice this entails. They support their children’s aspirations and provide them with the means to make learning more conducive and productive.

In support of the Filipinos’ strong emphasis on education, Hanabishi reinforces its commitment to help practical Filipino parents provide their children with an environment that is most conducive for learning.  Hanabishi helps create the right atmosphere for learning and studying, empowering Filipino families with appliances that suit their various needs.

Creating an environment conducive to learning

Carrying out school tasks and responsibilities can be difficult in constantly changing weather conditions, which can affect one’s mood and worse, even cause illnesses.

Make study time more comfortable with the Hanabishi Ceiling Fan. Available in two variants—the HTRIFAN 48 and HTRIFAN 56—the ceiling fan creates a wind chill effect to make the room feel 6 to 8 degrees cooler. Both fans are equipped with a metal blade, oscillation control and a thermal fuse-protected motor, the last to prevent overheating. The products are compact in design to save space. With their powerful blade and oscillation control, they can cool a room down, eliminating the need for air conditioning and saving on electric costs.
For studying or completing school projects during warmer days or nights, the Hanabishi Air Cooler provides a cool break. For a starting price of Php5,345, this product cools a room but consumes less energy than ordinary air conditioners, in the process resulting in more savings.

The Hanabishi Air Cooler, which comes in seven models, is equipped with a honeycomb filter, a remote controller, an ionizer and a 24-hour timer. It has a 5.5-liter water tank capacity. It also requires less maintenance and has no harmful gas emission such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

Stay awake with a cup of coffee

Burning the midnight oil is quite common among students, particularly when preparing for an exam, completing a project or working with a group. Students usually turn to junk food to boost their energy or keep them awake.

Offer a healthier option with the Hanabishi Coffee Maker. Students already allowed to have coffee can opt for a warm cup instead of getting their alertness or caffeine boost from soft drinks or other energy drinks.

Available in six variants, the Hanabishi Coffee Maker comes in modern ergonomic design and a nonstick heating plate. It features an illuminated on/off switch, a cone-style permanent filter, a water-level indicator on the tank, a heat-resistant glass carafe, a hinged tank lid and a stylish reservoir for coffee. The price ranges from Php615 to Php1,100.

How To Keep Skin Properly Hydrated And Moisturized

Did you know that your skin can be moisturized but not properly hydrated? Hydration and moisturization are actually two different things. When you hydrate your skin, you ensure that your skin cells retain more water, resulting in healthier- and younger-looking skin. When you moisturize, you apply a protective layer on your skin that ensures that the moisture in your cells is not lost.

Dullness and tightness are telltale signs of dehydrated skin. When your skin is rough, dry or flaky—or all of the above, you need a moisturizer to retain your skin’s lipid barrier. The result is healthy skin that is soft and smooth.
If you only use a moisturizer, it may help ease your dry skin, but it does not address the cause of the problem and, chances are, you will need to reapply throughout the day. To make your skin truly healthy, you need to apply a hydrating lotion to plump up your cells.

Hydrators and moisturizers should be used in tandem for you to have healthy, hydrated, smooth and supple skin. Humectant ingredients in hydrators, like glycerin, can attract water from the surroundings by absorbing them, then binding them to the skin.

Sure, by drinking water, you keep yourself hydrated. But topical hydration registers more immediate results: younger-looking skin and well-functioning skin cells.
For your daily skin routine, first, apply a hydrating lotion like Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion that is clinically proven to hydrate dry skin for 24 hours. It also contains Epidermal Replenishing Complex (ERC5), a unique combination of 5 ingredients, that helps maintain healthy skin. Then, you can follow on with a moisturizer like Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. They are non-greasy, non-comedogenic and fragrance free.

If you have oily skin, you still need a hydrator, though you may need to apply moisturizer less often.

Here are a few more tips:
·         Use fragrance free, non-comedogenic products that will hydrate and moisturize your skin, but neither irritate nor clog your pores.
·         Exfoliate before you hydrate and moisturize. This way, you remove the dead skin cells that may hamper your skin’s absorption.
·         As much as possible, do not take hot showers or baths, because the heat reduces your skin’s moisture and protective oils.
·         When the weather feels like it’s drying out your skin, have a water spritzer handy to keep your skin moist.

Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion and Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion are available in drugstores, department stores and supermarkets nationwide. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion also now comes in a new 118ml size with an SRP of Php 300.
