Family movie dates can now mean more than just popcorn and screen time. HOPE has partnered with SM Supermalls to launch HOPE in a Movie—an initiative that transforms every movie ticket at SM Cinema into meaningful support for public education.

Through this collaboration, PHP5 from every movie ticket sold at SM Cinema branches nationwide is invested in building public school classrooms via HOPE. The program supports the Generation HOPE campaign, which aims to build at least 10 classrooms through purpose-driven partnerships that make everyday choices count.

For moms and families, this means your simple decision to watch a film together can help create better learning spaces for Filipino children—without adding anything extra to your budget.

HOPE Founder Nanette Medved-Po shared that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to education and nation-building, inviting moviegoers to enjoy films at SM knowing that every ticket helps educate a child. Meanwhile, Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls, emphasized how entertainment and purpose can come together, turning each ticket into an opportunity to give back.

The initiative was officially launched at SM Mall of Asia’s ScreenX—the country’s first 270-degree panoramic cinema—highlighting how innovation can amplify social impact. With the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, HOPE in a Movie arrives just in time for family-friendly movie outings that do good beyond the big screen.

Families, friends, and movie lovers are invited to be part of this shared mission—one movie ticket at a time.

You can book your tickets at SM Cinema branches nationwide, via the SM Cinema app, or online at https://www.smcinema.com/.
